We are excited to announce that Hirose Judo Academy now welcomes children from 5 years old.
Many parents have asked whether younger children can begin their judo journey, and we’re pleased to say the answer is yes.
Our new class is designed specifically for young beginners, focusing on building confidence, coordination and fundamental movement skills in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
Why Start Judo at Age 5?
Starting judo at a young age helps children develop important life skills while enjoying physical activity.
Our classes focus on:
- Building confidence
- Improving balance and coordination
- Learning respect and discipline
- Developing listening skills
- Making new friends
- Having fun through movement
Children learn at their own pace, and no previous martial arts experience is required.
A Safe and Positive Learning Environment
At Hirose Judo Academy, safety is always our highest priority.
Our coaches create an encouraging atmosphere where children feel comfortable trying new skills, making mistakes and learning through play.
The goal is not simply to teach judo techniques, but to help children grow as confident young people.
Pathways for Every Child
Whether your child simply wants to enjoy judo as a hobby or dreams of competing at a higher level in the future, every journey begins with strong fundamentals.
Hirose Judo Academy provides a development pathway from beginner classes through to national and international competition opportunities for those who wish to pursue them.
