Kids Judo Classes Gold Coast

Hirose Judo Academy offers structured kids judo classes on the Gold Coast designed to help children develop strong fundamentals, confidence, and discipline through judo training.

Our program focuses on long-term athlete development, safe training practices, and building strong technical foundations for young judoka.

Whether your child is new to judo or already training, our classes provide a supportive and focused environment to learn and improve.

Why Judo Is Great for Kids

Judo is one of the best martial arts for children because it develops both physical and mental skills.

Through judo training, children improve:

  • Balance and coordination
  • Strength and body control
  • Confidence and resilience
  • Respect and discipline

Judo also teaches ukemi (safe falling), an important skill that helps children learn how to protect themselves during falls.

Our Kids Judo Program

Our junior program is designed for children aged 8–14 years old.

Training focuses on:

  • Judo fundamentals
  • Movement and coordination
  • Safe falling techniques
  • Basic throwing techniques
  • Positive training habits

Classes are structured to help children enjoy judo while developing strong technical skills.

If your child is completely new to the sport, you can also read our guide to beginner judo classes on the Gold Coast.

Many parents also ask what age children should start judo.
You can read our guide here: What Age Should Kids Start Judo.
