Hirose Judo Academy Athletes Shine at the 2026 Australian National Championships

Hirose Judo Academy is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our athletes at the 2026 Australian National Championships.

Representing both our academy and the Gold Coast judo community, Rika Hirose and Sakura Kuzuoka delivered exceptional performances against some of Australia’s best athletes.

Rika Hirose – Triple National Champion

Rika achieved an extraordinary result by winning gold medals in all three divisions she entered:

🥇 Cadet Champion
🥇 Junior Champion
🥇 Senior Champion

Winning a national title is a significant achievement. Winning three national titles across Cadet, Junior, and Senior divisions at the same event demonstrates exceptional skill, determination, and maturity beyond her years.

Sakura Kuzuoka – National Medalist

Sakura also delivered an impressive performance, earning medals in two highly competitive divisions:

Her results reflect the dedication and commitment she brings to training every day and highlight her continued development as a high-performance athlete.
